Know Thyself
… I was inspired by him and his message to love my neighbour as myself, to turn the other cheek and be a light to the world. What I have never agreed with was the idea that he was the only one who had such a message to share with mankind. I sensed and then later found out that there were many before him and after him who have played their part in helping man to understand that love was the only path to freedom, to peace and happiness.
That evening as I reflected on my conversation with my friend, it struck me that if she, who is quite liberal and open-minded, could feel and react so strongly to the concept of ‘love’ I was talking about, what hope is there for our world?…
