…This fraudulent claim of Wasps to being America’s oldest group is the true fall guy of the story, exposing again the deceitful and delusionary nature of Wasp history and of itself. But it is true that Wasp values prevail, dominating the domestic and global mindset. It is also true that Wasps have disproportionate control of power and benefit unfairly from the US and global economies and their institutions. Inevitably, the struggle between the delusion that drives this need to power and reality, between earned entitlement and unearned entitlement, is going to be a major battleground in this century. Furthermore, the class chasm between them and the growing minority of lower, marginalised and disenfranchised income groups at home and abroad is bound to reach a boiling point as the chickens inevitably come home to roost.
Already, the scene is being set on web sites and in blogs across the internet where claims and counter claims about who is responsible for the demise of the Wasp are widespread.
